Meet Lorna Baxter

Lorna Baxter has been a licensed Aesthetician for over 18 years. She completed her training for skin care at Florida College of Natural Health. She has a passion for skin care and is constantly learning new techniques to further educate herself on the latest cutting edge procedures.

Lorna is also a licensed Massage Therapist, Cosmetologist, Nail Technician and Makeup Artist. She completed her training at American Institute of Massage Therapy, American Institute of Cosmetology and the Makeup Institute in CA. She has most recently become certified as a Thai Medical Practitioner and offers treatment in the modalities of Traditional Thai Massage, Advanced Thai Medical, Thai Herbal Compress and Steam. She has studies over 100 hours of Traditional Thai and Advanced Thai Medical with an emphasis on body alignment and posture correction, from Wat Po Thai Medical School in Bangkok, Thailand.

Lorna is fully trained in a wide array of treatments, procedures and products; Microdermabrasion, Medical Grade Chemical Peels, is a PCA Skin Certified Professional and is also Dermalogica Certified, Dermalogica Specialist and Dermalogica Expert. Lorna completed a series of demanding classes in order to move from one tier to the next. In addition to perfecting proficiency with an array of specific ingredients, treatments and Dermalogica products, the series also enriches the skill-set with business knowledge, including tips on merchandising, retailing and event-planning. Lorna also has had advanced training in Non-Surgical Perfector Face Lift by Dr. Xanya Weiss, Makeup Application and Technique.

Lorna is a Part-time Learning Leader(Instructor) at Paul Mitchell the School Miami, teaching basic and advanced skin care, makeup and nails to cosmetology students. Creating and implementing school programs and preparing lesson plans.
Part of my specialist also includes educating, mentoring, brand management using Dermalogica products, public speaking and product knowledge.

Lorna is the Owner/President of Lorna Baxter Skin Care & Body Work Center located in Plantation, FL and Aventura, FL, Specializing in Anti-Aging Facial, Non-Surgical Facelift, PCA Chemical Peel, Dermalogica Facial Treatment, Acne Treatment, Waxing, Massage therapy, Thai Massage, Thai Medical Treatment, Thai Herbal Steam, Thai Herb Compress and Permanent Makeup.

Lorna’s passion and dedication is helping women and men be their best and achieve the skin they’ve been looking for. Lorna has worked as a Spa Consultant and Spa Director in the USA and the UK. She worked in London as a Spa Manager and Spa Operations Manager in Essex, UK. Over the years, she has consulted to numerous spa industries and organizations.

She was the Makeup Artist for Eileen Escarda Photography; her work was published for Disney, Western Union, and Sunbrella. Lorna is the past President and Owner of Kimane Salon and Spa, and has a makeup line: Kimane Cosmetics. Lorna was crowned Mrs. Cayman Islands Universal in 1996 and Mrs. World in 1997. She is the mother of two children, daughter Zena and son Kimane, and most recently became a Grandmother.
