Skin is one of the most important parts of your body; it reflects our health and also gives a pointer to our age. Proper care of our skin is paramount; it not only helps in keeping it healthy but also in getting rid of wrinkles. Our skin communicates, our faces make impressions, this can only be achieved when the skin around this area is healthy. It is not hard to achieve a healthy skin all we have to do is eat well balanced diet especially food rich in nutrients which nourish the skin, proper hygiene and avoiding substances which may cause damage to the skin.



When it comes to nutritional needs, we need to eat foods which are rich in Vitamin E, a component which helps in maintaining a healthy skin. You need to visit your nutritionist regularly to advise on the type of food that should be taken to keep your skin healthy. Dehydration is one of the major causes of dry skins, we need to take water regularly to ensure that our skin is properly hydrated; it is recommended that we should take at least eight glasses of water every day. This translates to two liters; this volume is bound to increase in an event when one is engaged in strenuous activities, which are characterized with sweating. One should not wait until they are thirsty to take a glass of water, by the time one gets to this situation; one has already lost a substantial amount of water something which is not good for the skin. Take enough water every day preferably in intervals, this will not only keep your skin hydrated but also allow body cleansing , an activity which is very vital to your health.


Skin plays an important role in getting rid of toxins, this will mainly happen through sweating, therefore apart from drinking enough water, we also need to ensure we engage in activities which make us sweat, this will remove the toxins, keeping our body healthy. It is important to ensure that we remove the sweat or the toxins from the skin, this means we need to take a regular bath, failure to do this will lead to accumulation of the toxins in the skin something that may lead to infections.




When it comes to use of skin products, we need to take great caution as some of the ingredients may be harmful to our skins. It is important to read through the instructions of use as well as be familiar with the ingredients which are used in preparation of the product. Some of the products may have ingredients such as mercury, which may be very effective in bringing the desirable results but in the long run very harmful to your skin and health.
